• Richard Mbuya
  Richard Mbuya, was admitted to the bar in 2008 as an Advocate of the High court of Kenya. He is a member of the Law society of Kenya, Mombasa law society and the Kenya Institute of Management.
  
  Richard holds an Honours Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree from Makerere University, Uganda, a Post graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law and a Diploma in Human Resources Management from the Kenya Institute of Management. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree (LL.M) in International Business Law at the University of London, specializing in;
  • Financial crimes law,
  • Intellectual property on the internet,
  • Maritime law,
  • International Trade law.
  Richard has lectured and continues to lecture law at a various institutions that include Mt Kenya University Mombasa campus, KCA University and the Kenya Institute of Management (KIM) Mombasa Branch. He also conducts legal and human resource in house training for various organizations and groups.
  
  He has also offered lectures to Municipal councils that include the Mombasa county councillor’s on devolution, having been so contracted by the KCA University - Nairobi.
  
  He has worked at other law firms including Ndegwa Muthama Katisya & Associates Advocates, before founding I R B Mbuya & Company Advocates in 2011.
  
  He specializes in Defending insurance claims and recovering of insurance outlays, Commercial & Civil Litigation, Conveyancing, Corporate law, Employment law and intellectual property law.
  
  Richard is our founding and managing partner and oversees the day to day running of the firm.
